JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

The Controller is a full-time, exempt position responsible for managing all finance operations – from contract review, to forecasting, to creating board financials. As organic growth continues, and as additional businesses are added to the mix, this role has room for significant expansion. This will be a highly visible & strategic role that will work closely with the highest levels of the organization on key project initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grow a finance team
  • Responsible for the company's financial accounting practices and policies, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financialreports.
  • Oversee monthly financial close, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Support M&A integration
  • Ensure accounting policies, procedures and controls are followed in compliance with GAAP & SOX guidelines
  • Manage treasury and tax operation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement change to increase efficiency, streamline workflow and controls
  • Ensure internal / external reporting is accurate and consistent
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, as required
  • High attention to detail & desire to work to build out the structure of a company
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior public accounting experiencepreferred
  • CPApreferred
  • SaaS experiencepreferred
  • 10+ years of relative experience
  • Strong understanding/proficiency of Technical Accounting
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, provide financial advice and influence decision making
  • Excellent communication skills - must be able to connect with senior-level colleagues

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
