Growing agricultural commodities company is looking to add a Controller to their team.


Job Description:

· Manage business unit accounting duties including:

o  Prepare monthly and annual financial statement for corporation

o  Budget preparation and analysis

o  Manage customer formulation and customer monthly pricing

o  Inventory analysis and reconciliation

o  Month-end journal entries

o  Plant cost accounting

o  Sales margin analysis

o  Operating expense analysis

o  Mark-to-market accounting

o  Coordinate audits with State Department and external taxaccountants

o  Ad-Hoc requests from internal management and auditors

o  Managing, directing, training staff accountants and Assistant Controller

o  Other duties as assigned by supervisor

·      Job reports to the Idaho Region General Manager and works closely with the Director of Business.

·      Business unit overview

o  6 dairy feed manufacturing/processing facilities

o  60+ employees

o  Business Unit has full P&L autonomy


·      Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or related field, from four-year college or university required

·      High-level attention to detail is required

·      Mark-to-market accounting experience a Plus

·      Accountingexperience in manufacturing industry a Plus

·      High level of proficiency with Excel and Access required

o  This position will require an intensive use of Microsoft Excel and Access, the successful candidate will be able to manipulate data in excel to assist management in accurately analyzing inventory issues

·      Inventory management skills desired

·      Agriculture industry experience helpful

·      10 years experience in Controller or similar role required
